A colleague, Beth Smith, of A-list Interviews, sent me an email recently. It began with a description of the wonderful variety we have to choose from when it comes to blue jeans.

“Straight leg, vintage style, loose fit, skinny jeans, mom jeans, ultra- high rise, high rise, mid-rise, low rise, ultra-low rise, boyfriend jeans, boot cut, cropped, ankle, extra-long, extra short, curvy, petite, tall and I haven’t even started on colors: whitewash, dark wash, light blue, dark blue, navy, etc.”

Then she went on to talk about how hiring the right person for a job can be like finding the right blue jeans. That got me thinking. The same holds true when helping a candidate find the right franchise opportunity.

If you are buying blue jeans, you get to try on a few styles, even the ones that just don’t fit. What looks good on the hanger may not look that great when you slip them on and stand in front of a mirror. You may rein in that idea of the skinny jeans and turn instead to the straight leg cut. You want to look good and feel good.

The search for the right franchise might not be that different. Okay, you won’t be standing in front of a mirror. But you will get to explore the pros and cons of a number of franchise opportunities. A frank discussion about your interests, skills, and most importantly, what you want from a business will help guide your decision-making. Finding the perfect fit may mean you look at a variety of options until you find the one that looks and feels right for you.

If you are ready to find the perfect franchise for you, let’s talk. That perfect fit is out there.
